Array Plàstics, S.L. has just installed a new injection molding machine of 650Tm with an ABB robot. The new machine has 2 interchangeable injection units, one of which is specific for the production of transparent parts (light guides, diffusors, etc…). The main characteristics of this injection unit are:
- its low injection volume in order to avoid the slightest degradation in large but low weight light guides
- its non-stick specific coating
- the fact that during the time that this injection unit is not working, it stays at high temperature to avoid degradation of plastic
On the other hand, the anthropomorphic ABB robot allows the extraction, manipulation and control of injected parts.
